2020 Music Legends Elton John Two Ounce Gold Proof Coin

This is the second release in The Royal Mint's 'Music Legends' series. The Elton John 2-ounce gold proof coin has a face value of £200 and is struck in 999.9 pure gold. The reverse of the coin has been designed by Bradley Morgan and features the iconic hat, glasses and bow tie, with the words Elton John. An innovative coin surface design creates a pulsating pattern in the lenses of the glasses.

The Obverse features the Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.

These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.

This is an extremely limited presentation run of just 50 coins and features a design that has been officially approved by Sir Elton John.
