Obverse: Young Head portrait (second larger variety) by William Wyon, raised 'W.W.' initials to the truncation, the date (1870) below and 'VICTORIA DEI GRATIA' around. Reverse: crowned and quartered shield of royal arms within a wreath of laurel leaves, tied at the bottom with the die number (87) below that, 'BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID: DEF:' around. Mintage: 2,189,960 (annual). Grade: PCGS MS61 (#206982.61/50931721).
